Trip to Ranthambore National Park -  A Tiger Safari

What and where is Ranthambore National Park:

I have been there in Ranthambore National Park which is also one of the biggest and most famous national parks in Northern India. The park comes under the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan 130 km far from Jaipur and 365 Km from Delhi. Once upon a time, it was considered as one of the famous hunting grounds of the Kings and Lords of Jaipur. Still, nowadays the Ranthambore National Park is a major wildlife tourist attraction spot that keeps pulling the eyes of many wildlife photographers.

Ranthambore Wildlife Sanctuary is known for its Bengal tigers, where you can see these animals in their natural habitat. We saw the Tiger in the morning around 8 am. The best times to be there at Ranthambore National Park are in November and May. There are not only Tigers other beautiful animals include the Indian leopard, Nilgai, wild boar, Sambar, striped hyenasloth bearsouthern plains grey langurrhesus macaquemugger crocodile and chital.

How much will be the estimated cost per Person:

This trip will cost you around 6000 INR. But it may be higher if you carry some hard luck with you and do not find a tiger on your first visit to the Jungle then you may have to stay for more days which will also increase the length of the trip.

What could be the trip duration?

Trip Duration is 2 to 4 days at least from Delhi to Sawai Madhopur and back.

Try to get there in the evening or very early in the morning. Because you have to move to the Ranthambore National Park around 5 am so book your hotel accordingly.

What else is there to check out?

There is a big list of the places which you should explore. Please follow:

There are many points in the National Park and Fort itself.

What should I do?

Do your bookings in advance. Please book Jungle Safari and hotel reservations in advance to avoid any unrest as you may waste your time finding a hotel.

November and May is the time to go there.

Bring a good quality camera with you as you will find a beautiful location to capture.

Fort is very old and beautiful visiting the fort is recommended. From the fort whole range of national parks is visible.

Enjoy the local meal.

What should I not do?

You should not be late in the Morning otherwise you have to wait till evening for the jungle safari.

Do not jump out of your jeep or vehicle while on jungle safari as it is not wise you step out into the Tiger’s home.

Do not drink and Drive as the roads are excellent there, and you may cross your speed limits.

Do not take your own car for Jeep Safari as your own vehicle is not allowed in the jungle.

What could be the proposed Itinerary?

Go to Sawai Madhopur in the late evening or early in the morning to align with the Jungle Safari Timings.

Do Jungle Safari in the Morning or Evening.
